Digital Campaign Launches

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Last week the Amway Global online advertising launched on web sites like CNN.com, WallStreetJournal.com, Monster and other web sites and portals.

There are several different treatments.  There are some standard banner ads that click through to the Opportunity section at Quixtar.com.  There are rich media treatments that offer 15 second video clips.  One of my favorites is a vertical ad that features a ladybug scaling a leaf that talks about how following never led to anything.

The online ads may be tougher to spot than the commercials (since in many cases we can tell you an ad will appear during a 30-minute show) but are definitely worth checking out.

Let me know what you think about the online treatments.

I took a quick look at the sites you mentioned, refreshed each home page several times, and didn't see any of the ads.

Is there a way to describe where the ads are locate, how often they should appear when refreshing the screen, and even have a link to each ad on quixtar.com or another site?

Editor's Note:  I wish there was a way to do this.  Because of the rotations at the respective sites we can't guarantee that a link will result in seeing that ad.

Excellent! I also recommend advertising on NBC, ABC, and Fox’s online shows featuring Heroes, Lost and Prison Break).  They have excellent 25sec commercials during the show.  I hope this helps.

Editor's Note:  Agree...have sat through many of those spots watching "Lost" online.

Wow! I am so excited about this... it is going to be so awesome going on to a high traffic website and seeing our business represented.  So if there is anyone that I haven't told that I own a business powered by Quixtar/ Amway Global, I better get my buns out there and shout it from the mountain tops!

Again, I am so stoked!

Just saw my first Amway Global click-through ad on Wall Street Journal. It was shown in two places on the very first page as you scroll down. Once I clicked the ad, it sent me to the Quixtar site page, "Start A Business ---> Our Company" and automatically started the video. The ads were surrounded by a red box (stuck out on page), and one click from a visitor and they're getting exposed to the opportunity. Pretty cool

I'm sure the ads will rotate on the different sites, but here's WSJ website. http://online.wsj.com/public/us

My husband went on to AOL.com to check his email yesterday and saw one of the ads.  He was so pumped! He called me all excited... Cant wait to see them!

The thing I like best about the ads is the check I'm going to get from the company from the gue$t $hopper$.

May I suggest running ads on the MOST likely sites for the best target market for the Q/AG opportunity? - Generation-Y college students and young professionals, ages 19-28?

In my humble but accurate opinion ;-) that would be Facebook, LinkedIn, Technorati and possibly even (::gulp::) MySpace.

That would be powerful.  Although I see the benefit in also targeting the older generations because they are generally the ones dispensing their "expert" opinions on business opportunities and wealth, all too often discouraging their younger friends and family from getting into "that thing" the pretend to know so much about. But when they get home from their kids' soccer game to watch 'Lost' and see that Quixtar/Amway Global is serious about their brand, it will become increasingly difficult for them to spout any urban myths.  Afterall, if something is on TV it's not only true, but top quality, right? ;-)

I agree with Dan Kalis, the age bracket that seems to be growing the most within the company would be the one's in that "Facebook" generation.

Thanks Amway Global for investing the money back into the business so it can benefit all of us!

Here's another cool example of Q/AG using technology to get the word out.
